Signs for Seasons, Times and Years

And God said, Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be signs and tokens of God’s provident care, and to mark seasons, days, and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light upon the earth.  And it was so.  And God made the two great lights–the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night.  He also made the stars.  And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth, to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness.  And God saw that it was good and He approved it.  And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.  Genesis 1:14-19

The Sixth Seal of Revelation

When the Lamb broke open the sixth seal, I looked, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun grew black as sackcloth of hair, the full disc of the moon became like blood.  And the stars of the sky dropped to the earth like a fig tree shedding its unripe fruit out of season when shaken by a strong wind.  And the sky rolled up like a scroll and vanished, and every mountain and island was dislodged from its place.  Then the kings of the earth and their noblemen and their magnates and their military chiefs and the wealthy and the strong and everyone, whether slave or free hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, and they called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him Who sits on the throne and from the deep-seated indignation and wrath of the Lamb.  For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand before it?  Revelation 6:12-17

  1. More information on this Elenin? Perhaps a link or at least parenthesis with another place to go on this site and find out about it : )

In this letter of Paul, more information is given as to ‘how it will be” in the Times at the end of this Age. ALL of these signs match up with our societies today.
    2 Timothy 3:1-7
1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
    4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Men (and I believe this speaks of ‘mankind’ which of course includes women) not only are so self-centered focusing on ‘taking care of #1″, boastful and proud, but they also physically ‘love’ themselves intimately as evidenced by the rampant outbreak and society’s overall acceptance of homosexuality – thus without natural affections.

Children rise up against parents everyday, some even take their parents lives. Perhaps a result from the famous Dr. Spock of my generation who wrote in his books “don’t spank your child” in direct opposition to God’s Word that says in Proverbs 22:15 – “Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.” and again in Chapter 23:13-14 – “Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. 14Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.”

From personal experience, I know that it makes people despise you when you try to be absolutely obedient to whatever God tells you (being good?). They want to call you holier-than-thou in a sarcastic tone. They reject you and gossip about you when as a confessed Christian, they are supposed to love you. So many sit in “churches” week after week have a form of godliness, but deny its power.

Father, in the name of Your Son Yeshua, may we who love You come to the Knowledge of the Truth and with that revelation, lead our brothers and sisters to Him. Jesus – Yeshua in Hebrew – said “I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father, but by Me.”

    • Don’t forget the verse (location?) that says, “They have itching ears” so they look for preachers, like the famous one in Houston, who will tell them what they want to hear. For shame! We ought to be pleading with God to forgive our wicked ways, as a people, as a nation, and personally.
Praise God, for His Son, Who died to take our place. Will He receive a pure white, spotless Bride? Oh, how I pray so!

      • 2 Timothy 4 :1-4 1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Let’s not even think to touch on of God’s anointed (I Chronicles 16:21-23 or Psalms 105:14-15) – naming the man in Houston leaves little doubt. I know there are many Christians who seem to actually HATE this brother, but for all his faults – and no one is perfect – I believe he loves the Lord, seeks his face, and tries to love and encourage God’s people.

      • Well, I do not hate this brother… in fact, I pray he will continue to seek God’s face. I love that he always has joy, and is very encouraging. I would like to see him warn the church of what is coming though. Not many preachers are doing that, you know, but lulling them into a false sense of security. That is my point.

  2. OH, dear one, I “KNEW” ‘you’ don’t hate him, I don’t think there is any ‘hate’ in You because you are so filled with God’s Holy Spirit which is in total L*O*V*E*! But I have come across ‘Christians’ who rail against him and spit fire when I defend him and warn that they don’t touch God’s anointed.

And yes, Yes, YES, there are so many – by far the majority – preachers, teachers, pastors, who are preaching too easy a salvation and not getting His children prepared for the great and terrible days ahead. I would LOVE to see them ALL warning God’s people! I am 100% in agreement with you there! Hopefully, those who sit under Joel’s teachings of Love and Encouragement, will remember what they have learned when the Days of Jacob’s Troubles are upon us and be led by God’s love through the tribulation.
